Day 1 - 3

Lech, Austria| 3 Nights

Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel in Lech, Distance will be 3 hours’ drive from Munich.

Lech and its higher neighbor Zürs are the most glamorous and expensive resorts in Austria. Their shared slopes could easily be linked with those of St.Anton. However, that would mean that their rich and royal visitors would have to mingle with hoi polloi from the equally famous but less exclusive neighbor. Lech is for those who don’t mind fur coats, do like well groomed, snow sure, cruising slopes, and are content to enjoy a winter holiday in pampered comfort and style in a traditional Alpine village. There are challenging slopes available (mainly off-slope). The tougher slopes of St.Anton are only a short bus- or car ride away. But it is the part-timers, those who enjoy the après and the strolling as much as the winter sports who will get the most out of the resort.

Day 4 - 5

Berchtesgasden, Germany | 2 Nights

The journey from Lech to Berchtesgasden will take around 4 hours’ drive.

Enjoy the following activities during your stay in Berchtesgasden:

Visit Salzburgurger Christkindlmarkt

Salzburg′s most famous Christmas Market, situated within the great scenery of the Dom and the Residenz Palace, usually opens its doors five weeks before Christmas. Every year, visitors can enjoy choirs, musicians playing French horn and trombone and pastoral plays. The sweet smell of roasted almonds, hot chestnuts, mulled wine (“Glühwein”) and glogg (“Punsch”) attracts the Old and the Young. Surrounded by the sound of the choirs, musicians and church bells, people walk through the peaceful market admiring the artful crafts and indulge themselves in remembrances of their childhood.

Visit The “Silent Night” Town

The most famous Christmas Carol of all times was written and composed in Oberndorf, a charming town north of Salzburg. You can learn about the story of the song in the ”Silent Night” museum in Salzburg, or at the site where Silent Night was first performed in Oberndorf. On the way there, you can also stop by some of the small towns in the Salzburger Seenland (lake district), such as Seekirchen or Mattsee. They have their own Christmas markets and distinct charm.

Visit the Lake District Salzkammergut

The Lake District Salzkammergut is the region, where Salzburgs Prince Archbishops held royal hunts and the Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph and his family spent their summer vacations.

The journey will leave Salzburg and pass by Lake Fuschl with castle Fuschl, now a five-star hotel, on its shores. Explore the little town of St. Gilgen, where Mozart’s mother was born and enjoy a 45-minute boat ride to St. Wolfgang.

Experience on Christmas Light Tram

Covered with over 39,000 lights, the Budapest Christmas “light tram,” or Fényvillamos, is put into operation across the city from 5 p.m. each evening throughout December and early January.

A quirky and novel attraction, it certainly gets visitors into the Christmas spirit while taking in the sights of Budapest during the winter months. The 50-year-old Ganz UV tram mainly circulates on tram line 2, but it does run on other lines in other parts of the city.

Enjoy Thermal Baths

Budapest is quite rightly nicknamed the “City of Spas,” thanks to its 118 natural thermal springs that deliver 70 million liters of therapeutic waters each day to more than a dozen spas. The Turkish baths of here are astonishingly beautiful, renowned the world over for their relaxing and medicinal benefits.

Taking a dip in the famous Széchenyi Baths during winter is an experience like no other. Jumping from one of the 10 indoor pools to the outside bathing area is a memorable — and even pleasurable — jolt to the system.

Catch a Christmas Light Show at the St.Stephen’s Basilica

This quirky light show is rather magical to watch dance across the white building face of the Neoclassical basilica. It plays every 30 minutes (on the hour and half past the hour) after dark, so you’ll have plenty of chances to catch it. It runs from roughly the last week of November until the end of December, in concordance with the Christmas market in the square.

End of journey.
