Copenhagen is an ancient city, full of beautiful historic buildings and many points of interest. The ramparts and walls surrounding the center of the city were demolished around the middle of the nineteenth century. This allowed the city to assume the peculiar architectural structure characterized by narrow stone streets that lead directly to the city center and which are the background to numerous shops and bars.
Your guide will take you on the Danish Castle Experience, to the most important castle in Denmark: Kronborg Castle, the most famous Danish castle and known worldwide from Shakespeare’s Hamlet. Spent half a day in the second oldest amusement park in the world and still the world’s favorite called Tivoli then explore the city through the famous canal in Copenhagen.
Day 4 – 6
Bergen | 3 Nights
Today is an exciting and incredible boat journey that will take you back over a thousand years to the Viking Age. Bergen is situated between the longest fjord Sognefjord north of Bergen and the beautiful Hardangerfjord in the south. The fjords in Norway have been voted the world’s most unspoiled tourist destination by National Geographic, and Bergen is a great starting point if you wish to explore them.
Your guide will meet at the hotel and take to the port to embark on a day cruise to see the famous fjords: Knarvik island, visit the modern-style church with the markedly rising spire, church sanctuary, and chapel. Take a walk in the city center and explore Bergen’s second-biggest villages. Enroute from Knarvik to Modalen, enjoy a natural gateway which makes Bergen’s fjords a world heritage site. Modalen is located in the Osterfjorden with beautiful scenery of fjords, mountains, and big waterfalls.
When reaching the town of Modalen, visit the cute Atelier Midtun art gallery. This little art gallery is both the workplace and gallery of local artist Jarle Midtun. A good variety of paintings and graphic art are exhibited and available for purchase. The gallery lies across from the church in Mo village and has flexible opening hours. From Modalen to Bruvik, home of the famous Bruvik watch brand, we stop for a coffee break. End your journey to dine at the world-class seafood restaurant in Cornelius, Bergen, which is only accessible by boat. Your private boat will drop you off at the restaurant and pick you up again once you have finished your dinner and return you back to your hotel.
