Day 1 – 3
Vienna, Austria | 3 Nights
There could be no better place to get into the seasonal spirit than Vienna and its magical Christmas markets.
Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy your day at leisure by exploring the hotel facilities.

Visit Christmas Market at Rathausplatz
Rathausplatz is home to Vienna’s most famous Christmas market: an elaborate winter wonderland that sprawls in front of the dramatic, neo-Gothic city hall. More than 150 Christmas booths welcome you to an extravaganza of flair and spirit.
Vienna’s biggest Christmas tree stands majestically in front of the city hall, although it may not be the most popular. Make sure to walk over to the famous Herzerlbaum, too. This other Christmas tree is a giant maple adorned with 200 glowing hearts. In 2018, the city brought back the Herzerlbaum decorations after facing backlash in their decision to opt out of the beloved heart display.
For more romance, skate through two ice rinks joined by connecting ice paths under lit trees. There’s also a carousel and an old-school Ferris wheel for kids of all ages, which elevates this market to a festival worthy of a fictional North Pole.
Sparkling Sightseeing in a Horse-Drawn Carriage
Experience the worldwide unique culinary horse-carriage rides enjoy small savory and sweet delicacies from one of the most traditional Restaurants in Vienna like the: Zum Schwarzen Kameel.
To guarantee you a safe and comfortable dinning-experience during your horse carriage ride, Riding Dinner constructed a table, which is built into the horse carriage, including glass holders.
Starting from St. Stephens Cathedral, our Fiaker-roundtrip leads you from Palais Ferstel past the Vienna Hofburg and the Miachaelertrakt over the inner bailey to the Heldenplatz. From there, the coach drives from the Natural History Museum past Palais Eppstein and the Parliament to the Volksgarten. The City Hall, the Burgtheater, the famous Café Landtmann and the University of Vienna are of course spots during our tour which will not be missed. From Petersplatz our Roundtrip in a cap ends up at the meeting point at St. Stephens Cathedral.

The beautiful Wiener Konzerthaus (Vienna Concert House), with its gilded ceiling, hanging chandeliers, and red and gold details, is a fantastic setting for any concert, but at Christmas it’s particularly special. Each December, the concert house draws acclaimed opera singers for its Christmas in Vienna concert, which has been running since 1992. Previous performers have included Plácido Domingo, José Carreras and Luciano Pavarotti.

Day 4 – 6
Prague, Czech Republic | 3 Nights
Enjoy Christmas in Prague with its beautiful castle and festival Christmas markets.
Today you will continue your road trip journey to Prague. It will take around 4 hours’ drive. Upon arrival, enjoy your free time at leisure.
Christmas in Prague is magical and charming. You can explore the town by visiting the famous Christmas market or try on the free ice skating in the downtown.

We will lead you along the Royal Route of Czech Kings and you will explore all the main sights of this marvelous city.
Old Town Square with its magnificent Astronomical clock, the pride of the city Charles Bridge and Lesser Town below the Prague Castle district.
And just when you think that you have seen all that Prague has to offer, you will walk into Prague Castle with its splendid cathedral of St. Vitus. This is not all, of course. A part of a historical city being known as New Town with Wenceslav square, Powder Tower and Municipal House are also waiting for you to be explored.
Day Trip from Prague to Cesky Krumlov
A day trip from Prague to Cesky Krumlov is a great opportunity to admire the second most visited town in Bohemia which competes with Prague for a title of Central Europe’s most beautiful town.
There’s really nowhere quite like Cesky Krumlov. It is guaranteed to delight visitors with its UNESCO-protected castle, immaculately preserved medieval streets and stunning Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance-era buildings, filled with cafes, restaurants, boutiques and galleries.
Although the world and towns around us have changed a good deal, the old charm of this city has yet to fade. Visitors are repeatedly impressed by its unique natural setting and its antiquity which reminds one of a fairy tale setting.
Day 7 – 8
Innsbruck, Austria | 2 Nights
You will be picked up at your accommodation and transfer to Innsbruck. It takes approximate 6 hour drive

Skiing, city walks and relaxing in the mountains. Innsbruck has it all, from city strolls in the valley to high alpine adventures. How does sunning yourself in a deck chair at 2,000 metres above sea level sound?

Day 9 – 11
Salzburg, Austria | 2 Nights
Home to Mozart and “The Sound of Music”; named a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its stunningly preserved baroque architecture and unique blend of German and Italian influence; marked on the map by the curves of the Salzach River and the northern edge of the snow-tipped Alps — Salzburg, Austria, is, on paper, the perfect European Christmas vacation.
You will be picked up at your accommodation in Innsbruck and be transferred to Salzburg. It takes approximately 2.5 hours’ drive.

Visit Salzburger Christkindlmarkt
Salzburg′s most famous Christmas Market, situated within the great scenery of the Dom and the Residenz Palace, usually opens its doors five weeks before Christmas. Every year, visitors can enjoy choirs, musicians playing French horn and trombone and pastoral plays. The sweet smell of roasted almonds, hot chestnuts, mulled wine (“Glühwein”) and glogg (“Punsch”) attracts the Old and the Young. Surrounded by the sound of the choirs, musicians and church bells, people walk through the peaceful market admiring the artful crafts and indulge themselves in remembrances of their childhood.
Visit the Silent Night Town
The most famous Christmas Carol of all times was written and composed in Oberndorf, a charming town north of Salzburg. You can learn about the story of the song in the” Silent Night” museum in Salzburg, or at the site where Silent Night was first performed in Oberndorf.
On the way there, you can also stop by some of the small towns in the Salzburger Seenland (lake district), such as Seekirchen or Mattsee. They have their own Christmas markets and distinct charm.

- Nonnberg Convent, where Maria was a novice
- Schloss Leopoldskron (the house, where the Trapp Family lived in the movie)

- Gazebo (now placed in Hellbrunn), where the Baron von Trapp kissed Maria for the first time
