Day 1 - 4
Rosewood Luang Prabang| 3 Nights
Hidden in the lush green jungle that surrounds the historic royal settlement of Luang Prabang, a river—emanating from a flowing waterfall—runs through the heart of this exotic retreat. Taking its cue from the French-Lao architecture for which the town is known, the interiors of the Luang Prabang resort reflect the influences of ancient temples, while luxurious tented villas celebrate the explorer spirit.
The design of the Hilltop Tents features colors, textiles and patterns utilized by the area’s indigenous hill tribes that still inhabit the wild mountains around us.The interior of the tent features a king-size bed and oversized daybed, encouraging you to enjoy the nature around you. As well as a refreshing rain shower, the classic-style bathtubs invite you to luxuriate longer—as does the oversized balcony with its comfortable sofa. (Size 75 sq.m.)
Upon arrival at Luang Prabang International Airport, you will be transferred to Rosewood Luang Prabang. The journey will take around 25 minutes.
Design you day with the following range of activities:
Experience Morning Alm Giving Ceremony
Wake up early before sunrise and then head to Phanom Village where the ancient ritual of alms-giving takes place every day at dawn. Sit down with the locals as you help present the first meal of the day to the robe-clad monks.
Enjoy Heritage Walk
Discover Luang Prabang’s blessed mix of Laotian heritage and French colonial culture on this guided three-hour walk, where you will learn from a local expert about the town’s distinctive architecture, as well as the most significant temples that made it the country’s royal capital in years gone by
It’s not an activity you’ll find at most luxury resorts, but Rosewood Luang Prabang is no ordinary stay. Ask Khun Pai, the onsite fishing master, to show you the secret spots around the property to land a catfish or tilapia, while the Rosewood kitchen is ready to prepare your tasty fresh catch for lunch or dinner.
Half Day Visit to MandaLao Elephant Sanctuary
Laos was once known as the “Land of a Million Elephants.” While sadly there are only a few hundred wild pachyderms left, you can support their conservation with a visit to the MandaLao sanctuary, where you go on a trek with the elephants along a winding river through the jungle.
Enjoy Rosewood Mekong River Sunset Cruise
With so many activities available to keep you busy during the day, take some time out to soak up the sunset views over the Mekong. The shoreline of the ancient royal capital of Luang Prabang is lined with perfect picnic spots, for which we will arrange a selection of canapés and perfectly matched wine.
End of journey.
