Italy was the birthplace of the Renaissance, a time of great change in Europe after the Middle Ages. The period was characterized by the emergence of artworks that were created to revive human values and science.
In the cities of Florence and Cortona, architectural works like basilicas and cathedrals stand as a sign of the birth of the Renaissance. Exploring them is the same as enjoying buildings that are not only designed with magnificent facades, but also emphasize effectiveness on a large scale.
