Alms Giving & Sunrise Cruise
The traditional ritual of alms-giving is one of the most iconic images of Luang Prabang. As dawn approaches, accompany hotel staff as they head into town to gift food to a procession of local monks in their vibrant orange robes.
After the Alms giving procession you have the chance to visit the morning market in the town. Then enjoy a sunrise breakfast cruise along the Mekong River, welcoming the day in magical style.
There are a number of unique villages to explore in Laos.
Visit Ban Xang Hai, famous for its wine distillery and punchy Lao-Lao whiskey. Alternatively head to Ban Phanom, known as the village of weavers. Learn about the complete cycle of silk production before browsing the shops to find stunning clothing, handicrafts and mementos.
Meet with expert chefs on the outdoor terrace as they share the secret techniques used to prepare Laotian food. Follow along step-by-step until you have a tempting three-course meal to add to your repertoire. Sampling your creations in the restaurant rounds off the day.
