This incredible Botswana safari will take you to two of the country’s most prized destinations, the glorious Savute region and the iconic Okavango Delta. Your adventure kicks off in the Savute for a two night stay at Belmond Savute Elephant Camp, where you can enjoy exceptional game drives and encounter some of Botswana’s largest concentrations of wildlife. The next leg of your adventure takes you to the wildlife-rich Okavango Delta where you will stay for two nights at Belmond Khwai River Lodge and two nights at the award-winning &Beyond Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge. Explore the winding waterways and overgrown islands of this fantastic destination. Adventures include twice-daily game drives, walking safaris and excellent birdwatching.

Day 1 & 2:

  • Upon arrival at Kasane Airport you will be met by an &Beyond representative, who will direct you onto your light aircraft flight to Savute Airstrip.
  • Some of the largest concentrations of wildlife in Southern Africa are found in the Savute (sometimes spelled Savuti) area. Situated in the famous Chobe National Park on the border of the Okavango Delta, Savute is best known for its channel, which mysteriously fills up and dries up periodically, seemingly unrelated to the rainfall. Savute supports the greatest concentration of the king of all beasts – the lion. The landscape of Savute is strikingly different from the lush Chobe riverfront, with an almost desert-like feeling.
  • Spend two nights at Belmond Savute Elephant Camp. Accommodation is in a luxury tent situated on a raised wooden deck under thatch. Your stay includes three meals daily, soft drinks, house wines, local brand spirits and beers, teas and coffees, laundry, daily lodge activities and park fees. Adventures include twice-daily game drives in an open 4×4 safari vehicle.

Day 3 & 4:

  • Today, you will hop aboard a light aircraft for your flight to Belmond Khwai River Lodge. The only proclaimed wildlife reserve in the Okavango Delta, Moremi contains about a quarter of the Okavango’s breathtaking waterways, islands and lagoons. It is widely regarded as one of Botswana’s most beautiful reserves. Game viewing is excellent year-round.Spend two nights at Belmond Khwai River Lodge. Accommodation is in a luxury thatched tent. Your stay includes three meals daily, soft drinks, house wines, local brand spirits and beers, teas and coffees, laundry, daily lodge activities and park fees.
Adventures include twice-daily drives in open 4 x 4 safari vehicles, guided walking safaris, evening drives and fantastic birdwatching. Community visits are also available and may be booked directly at the lodge, subject to availability of vehicles

Day 5 & 6:

  • Today, you will hop aboard a light aircraft for your flight to Belmond Eagle Island Lodge. A maze of sparkling lagoons, meandering channels and overgrown islands teeming with wildlife, the Okavango Delta lies like a sparkling jewel at the heart of the Kalahari Desert. Known as “the river that never finds the sea”, crystal clear channels spread over the thirstlands of the Kalahari, with their papyrus-fringed banks and fertile floating islands. Adapted for a life in and out of the water, the elegant red lechwe and shy sitatunga are found in this watery wilderness. Lion, leopard, cheetah and African wild dog share the floodplains with large herds of elephant and buffalo. Hippos inhabit the deeper channels and lagoons, while honey badgers can be seen in broad daylight. Tall termite mounts are homes for families of dwarf and banded mongoose. Experience the delicate details of the glistening waterways on a mokoro ride, where iridescent dragonflies, frogs of every colour and jewel-like kingfishers live in the papyrus-lined banks.
Spend two nights at Belmond Eagle Island Lodge. Accommodation is in a spacious deluxe tented room. Your stay includes three meals daily, soft drinks, house wines, local brand spirits and beers, teas and coffees, laundry, daily lodge activities and park fees.
Activities include guided walks, mokoro (dugout canoe) adventures in the Delta and excellent birdwatching.

Day 7:

  • After a scrumptious breakfast we will wave a fond farewell as you board your light aircraft for your flight to Maun International Airport.
